From a Small Group of Expats to Being Featured by XpatAthens: A Moment of Gratitude

Recently, I had the honour of being featured by XpatAthens in their Wellness Hub article:

"Retreats in Greece: Your Gateway to Transformation & Lifelong Well-Being"

You can read the feature here:

When I first saw the article published, I felt incredibly grateful. Not because of the recognition itself, but because it reminded me just how far this journey has come.

What many people don't know is that none of this started with a grand business plan.

It started with a small group of expats.

Years ago, I began teaching wellness classes on Kos to a handful of people looking for connection, movement, support and community. There was no roadmap. No expectation that one day I would be running wellness retreats, connecting retreat hosts across Greece, managing multiple wellness platforms, hosting a podcast, or being featured by one of Greece's leading expatriate communities.

There was simply a desire to help people feel better.

From those early classes, something beautiful began to grow.

Friendships formed.

Communities developed.

Lives changed.

And, perhaps most importantly, I found my tribe.

People often hear me say, "Your vibe attracts your tribe."

It has become one of my guiding principles because I have seen it happen time and time again.

The people who have come into my life through wellness, retreats, yoga, movement, coaching and community have been some of the most inspiring, supportive and generous individuals I could ever have hoped to meet.

Every workshop attended.

Every retreat booked.

Every class joined.

Every recommendation made.

Every social media share.

Every conversation over coffee.

Every person who has trusted me to be part of their wellness journey.

You have all played a role in making this possible.

The feature by XpatAthens may have my name attached to it, but the reality is that it belongs to every person who has supported Evexia Kos and believed in what we're creating.

As the founder of Evexia Kos and Retreats in Greece, I am fortunate to witness transformation every day. I see people arrive exhausted, overwhelmed and disconnected, only to leave feeling lighter, happier and more themselves again.

That is why I continue this work.

Not because of articles, awards or recognition.

But because of people.

Because of community.

Because of connection.

Because wellness has the power to change lives.

This journey continues to evolve in ways I could never have imagined, and I genuinely have no idea where it will lead next. What I do know is that I wouldn't be here without the incredible people who have supported me along the way.

So today, I simply want to say thank you.

Thank you for attending classes.

Thank you for joining retreats.

Thank you for trusting me.

Thank you for sharing my work.

Thank you for being part of this community.

And thank you for proving, time and time again, that your vibe really does attract your tribe.

With gratitude,

Gilly Gwilliams
