End of February Already… and We’re More Than Ready for Summer

Somehow, we’ve reached the end of February. The days are still chilly, the skies still moody, and it feels like everyone is collectively over winter. And honestly? Same.
Here at Evexia, we’re already seeing that familiar shift: enquiries and bookings are starting to come in for our summer Pilates classes. It’s that time of year when people begin craving lightness again — longer days, warmer evenings, and a reason to get outside and move.
Why summer movement just hits differently
There’s something about summer in Greece that makes healthy habits feel effortless.
More daylight = more energy. Longer days naturally nudge us to move more, sleep better, and feel more optimistic.
Fresh air and nature reset the nervous system. Being outdoors (especially near the sea) helps us feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded.
Movement feels like a treat, not a task. When the weather is on your side, it’s easier to show up consistently.
And when it comes to Pilates, summer is our favourite season by far.
Pilates on the beach, in the sea, and at sunset
If you’ve done Pilates indoors all winter, you’ll understand why we get so excited about what’s coming.
We love:
Pilates on the beach — the sound of the waves, the softness of the light, and that feeling of being totally present in your body.
Sea sessions — moving in (and with) the water is a completely different kind of strength and control.
Sunset classes — golden hour, cooler air, and the perfect end to a long summer day.
It’s not just “nice” — it genuinely changes how you feel. Summer has a way of lifting your mood, easing tension, and reminding you what your body is capable of.
Taking it deeper: a Pilates retreat for advanced students
This year, we’re also supporting the hosting of a special Pilates retreat on Kos for experienced Pilates people.
It will be hosted in German by a wonderful German teacher, and it’s designed for those who want to go beyond a standard class — more depth, more focus, and a full-body (and mind) reset in a beautiful Greek setting.

Why retreats work (when you really want to feel different)
A retreat isn’t just a holiday with a timetable. The right retreat gives you something many of us don’t get enough of at home:
Consistency (movement, nourishment, rest)
Space (from routine, noise, and decision fatigue)
Support (expert guidance and a like-minded group)
A real reset (physically, mentally, emotionally)
When you step out of everyday life, even for a few days, it becomes easier to reconnect with what you need — and to come home feeling clearer, stronger, and more like yourself.
